Duraply for marine applications

Garnica duraply is a modified plywood that is extremely durable.  It is designed to be exceptionally resilient when used outdoors.  It is especially suited to marine applications which can be very demanding for plywood.

The panel is manufactured using poplar core and faces from sustainable European plantations.  An advanced treatment is applied to each veneer resulting in an ultra-durable  marine grade plywood that is fungi and insect resistant even under adverse weather conditions.

We stock duraply in full sheets (2440x1220) in 9mm, 12mm and 18mm thicknesses from our timber & builders merchant based in Deddington.

Replacement Windows for Conservation Areas

A lot of properties in our area are old and are situated within Conservation Areas.

Window sizes in older properties do not conform to standard off the shelf sizes. Also, careful consideration needs to be given to the choice of style and colour to complement the Conservation Area.

With Dale Windows we can offer fully made to measure replacement windows that will complement any home and sit beautifully within any Conservation Area.

One of our customers, S. R. Plummer Construction Ltd, began using Dale Windows for his replacement and new windows and doors approximately eighteen months ago.

We asked Stephen Plummer, the boss, about why he likes using Dale Windows.

I began using Dale Windows supplied by Johnsons when my joiner retired. The build quality of Dale Windows is to an extremely high standard.

Being a fully finished product I can install the product without need to fit ironmongery or decorate the windows. My installation costs are kept to a minimum. The factory applied paint finish of the windows is exceptional and my clients are always very impressed with the product.

The order process is made very simple by the team at Johnsons who always price my projects very promptly and keep me informed of my orders’ progress.

I recommend Dale Windows for all my replacement and new installation windows. It is worth paying a little bit more for better quality product. It costs less in the long run.
— Stephen Plummer - S. R. Plummer Construction Ltd

Here is a recent example of Stephen’s work at a small cottage in Steeple Aston. The colour choice and glazing bar style complement the natural stone of the building. The style and appearance is entirely in keeping with the surrounding Conservation Area. This gives a traditional look with all the benefits of modern window design and glass technology.
