Types of filler

There are lots of different types of filler available. Here is a guide to some of the fillers we sell and their uses to help you select the right filler for your DIY or building project.

All purpose filler

Available in powder to mix with water or ready mixed. Dries to a tough crack resisitant finish.  Holes are overfilled then, once dry, sanded back to a flush finish. Ideal interior and exterior for general  purpose filling of most building materials such as plaster, brick, stone and render.

One Strike filler

A ready mixed lightweight polymer filler that requires little or no sanding. Can be used for holes up to 75mm in one application. An excellent internal filler for repairs to plaster, wood, brick, stone and render.

Multi-purpose wood filler

A ready mixed one-part stainable wood filler available in different shades. Ideal for filling small imperfections in wood up to 5mm such as screw holes. The filler is applied proud of the surface then sanded back to a flush finish. Suitable for interior and exterior filling.

High performance wood filler

A resin based two-part interior and exterior wood filler. Capable of filling holes of any depth in timber. The filler is applied proud of the surface then sanded back to a flush finish. A great filler for larger repairs and to fill damage caused by wet rot especially when used in conjunction with a wet rot hardener.
